Authority is the product
Nothing enters the pool without notarised title, instrument-grade analysis, an independent valuation panel and insured bonded custody — each step hashed on-chain and offered only to Professional Investors.
Regulatory perimeter & compliance
Eastance is built inside Hong Kong's regulated perimeter, not around it. Every leg of the structure — fund, tokenisation, distribution, trading, custody — sits with a licensed, supervised counterparty, and the token itself is offered only to professional investors.
Type 1 / 4 / 9 licensed chain
Dealing, advising and asset management are performed by SFC-licensed corporations; Eastance Protocol itself performs no regulated activity directly.
Licensed intermediariesHong Kong Limited Partnership Fund
Registered under the LPF Ordinance (Cap. 637). Artworks are held by the fund, not by the issuer, with an independent GP, administrator and auditor.
Cap. 637 registeredProfessional investors only
Offers rely on the PI exemption (Cap. 571, Sch. 1 Pt 1): individuals with liquid assets of at least HK$8,000,000, minimum commitment HK$500,000. Wallets are allow-listed only after PI verification; transfers to unverified wallets revert on-chain.
On-chain allow-listLicensed VATP trading only
Secondary trading is limited to SFC-licensed virtual asset trading platforms and permissioned pools; unlicensed venues cannot list EST-C.
HashKey · OSLAML / CFT & travel rule
FATF-aligned KYC, sanctions and source-of-wealth screening at onboarding, continuous chain analytics on every counterparty wallet.
Continuous screeningIndependent audit & attestation
Annual fund audit, quarterly NAV attestation and monthly proof-of-reserve reconciling minted EST-C against vaulted, appraised artworks.
Monthly PoRCompliance gates enforced in the contract
- PI verification & allow-listed transfer hook
- Jurisdiction blocklist (US persons, sanctioned states)
- Lock-up and cooling-off enforcement at token level
- Redemption only against audited vault release
- Minimum commitment HK$500,000 enforced at subscription
- No physical artwork leaves the mainland — revenue rights only
This page is maintained by the Eastance issuer team and describes the intended structure of the protocol. It is not investment advice, not an offer to the public, and not a certification, approval or endorsement by the SFC or any other regulator. Licensing status of counterparties is verified at onboarding and may change; the structure described remains subject to regulatory review in each relevant jurisdiction.
Four-fold review: authority & scientific evidence
No artwork enters the treasury on connoisseurship alone. Every asset must clear the four-fold review — notarised title, expert and instrumental authentication, independent valuation, and insured bonded custody — registered through SARs and re-scored annually by RASS. Only then may tokens be minted against it, and the dossier hash is written on-chain next to the issuance serial.
Notarised title & provenance
Chain-of-title, exhibition records, auction history and publication references are reconstructed, notarised and registered in SARs under a unique asset serial.
Non-invasive instrumental analysis
Portable XRF elemental mapping of pigments, enamels and marks, plus Raman spectroscopy of glaze and lead-tin phases — performed on site, without sampling the object.
Expert panel & independent valuation
A blind panel of museum curators, academy scholars and market specialists votes on attribution and grade; a tier is assigned only on super-majority, after which an independent licensed valuer sets fair value under the RASS discount framework.
Insured bonded custody
Sealed transfer into a climate-controlled bonded vault under an all-risk fine art policy with agreed-value cover and IoT condition monitoring.
| Method | What it establishes | Sampling |
|---|---|---|
| Portable XRF (pXRF) | Elemental fingerprint of colourants, enamels and reign marks; separates imperial from non-imperial porcelain recipes. | None · on-site |
| Raman spectroscopy | Glaze and pigment phase identification; lead-tin and quartz signals used as a dating / authentication indicator for glazed ceramics. | None · on-site |
| UV / IR reflectography | Restoration, overpaint and underdrawing detection on paintings and scrolls. | None |
| High-resolution digital fingerprint | Micro-texture capture bound to the token, so the vaulted object can be re-identified at redemption. | None |

Instrumental analysis and panel consensus establish attribution and condition — not price. Appraised fair value is a point-in-time opinion under the RASS framework, re-tested every 12 months; it is not a realisable value and not a guarantee of recovery.

Every claim on this site is backed by a document signed by an independent counterparty. Each certificate below carries a SHA-256 digest, the signer's on-chain key and a detached signature, so you can download the manifest and verify it yourself.
